Respiratory Therapy Patient Instructions
Patients receiving outpatient respiratory therapy services at Conway Regional Medical Center will check-in at patient admissions in the East Lobby, located on the same side as the Emergency Department.
To ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff, and community, we have updated our visitor policy. Given the rise in active COVID cases throughout our state and local communities, the intent is to reduce patients and staff to potential exposure. All patients and visitors entering the medical center and clinics are required to wear a mask at all times.
Procedure Instructions
Patients should plan on being in the hospital 15 to 20 minutes if they are undergoing arterial blood gas, EKG imaging, or aerosol treatment.
Patients should plan on being in the hospital 30 minutes. Do not use bronchodilators within the four hours prior to the test unless instructed by your physician. You can eat prior to testing; however, do not overeat, since a full stomach may restrict your ability to breathe properly during the test. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothes for testing.
