Relentless, Compassionate Patient Care Tech Achieves BEE Award
"Lucretia listens to everybody. She is so sweet to the patients and their families. She validates their feelings,” reads Lucretia Skinner's BEE award nomination.
Lucretia Skinner, who is described as a relentless and compassionate worker in the Intensive Care Unit, is Conway Regional’s latest Be Exceptional Every Day (BEE) award recipient.
Skinner, a patient care tech, was nominated for the award by a fellow employee. The anonymous nomination read, “I cannot begin to describe how much better the unit operates when Lucretia is at work. She is such a hard and effective worker.” The nomination added, “Lucretia listens to everybody. She is so sweet to the patients and their families. She validates their feelings.”
Skinner of Greenbrier has worked at Conway Regional for more than eight years and is widely known for her hard work and caring spirit.
The BEE award was created by Conway Regional to reward non-nursing staff for exceptional care and service to patients, visitors, and coworkers. Its counterpart is the international DAISY award that is given to nurses for providing exemplary care. The BEE award is voted on every two months by the health system’s Patient Care Governing Congress based on an anonymous nomination and selection process.
BEE recipients receive the healer’s touch miniature stone sculpture along with team rewards points, a two-month exclusive parking space, cinnamon rolls, and an award certificate.
